Silent WitnessesEmma Versteegh usually writes about her research, but during a conference anything goes! She’ll be writing about biogeoscience, past climates, geochemistry and astrobiology during the meeting, sharing the research presented at EGU 2014 to all those interested. Tweets as @emmaversteegh.

Climate and Geohazards covers all subjects related to climate change, natural hazards and disaster risk – you might have guessed from the name! Ekbal Hussain will be covering the conference throughout the week, particularly topics on active tectonics and natural hazards.

Notes on Science and More – reaching out to both scientists and the general public, Notes On Science and More will cover hydrology, remote sensing, climate change during the meeting. You can also tune in on Twitter with @yannishimself.

Fluyendo Libre-Mente – as its name suggests, this blog will be liberating science, setting all things oceanography free for the public to see. During the conference, research on estuaries, costal oceanography and modelling will be covered. Note that most of this blog is in Spanish, but there are also French and English posts. Tune in to Twitter with @ijalonr.

The Transient Topographer targets all Earth surface scientists, covering topics such as geomorphology, topographic analysis, and weather and landscape modelling. The transient topographer, Declan Valters, also tweets as @dvalts.

Over at My Patchwork Planet Hazel Gibson will be writing about all sorts – from ore deposits and rock magnetism to quantifying volcanic hazards and Earth’s early crust.  Tweets as @iamhazelgibson.
